Hi, I'm Maya, a voice teacher, vocal coach, and the founder of The Voice Corner.
I trained at AMDA, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, with a certificate in musical theatre from the New York campus and my bachelor's from Los Angeles. I'm a certified voice teacher through New York Vocal Coaching, where I studied under Justin Stoney. My own training is as a musical theatre performer, which is where my audition and performance coaching comes from.
I'm also a working musical theatre performer, so I'm still auditioning and performing myself.I've been teaching for over eleven years, with students from toddlers to adults, in day cares, elementary schools, and a local art studio. I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a voice teacher, and I'm now teaching voice full time.
I work across all genres and styles, with particular training in musical theatre singing and performance. Lessons are built around your voice and what you want from it, whether you are preparing an audition, building technique, or just starting to embark on your voice journey!
